So, seems like we will get to see book 2 played out at the least. I am super excited from this news!

Given the high cost of production, this is actually really surprising news. I haven't had a chance to actually watch the show yet (or read the books for that matter), but overall I am very pleased by the level of ambition in this project.
Is the series approachable to newcomers to the property?
